Got Engagement?

I’m indescribably happy to announce that I got engaged to my sweetie over Christmas vacation.  We have no idea when we are getting married yet.  She finished her Ph.D. this fall and is now looking for work after completing her school obligations and is currently in College Station, TX interviewing for a postdoc position.  She has options in Boston and Calgary, AB, Canada, as well so we could end up just about anywhere on the continent I think. :-)

Anyway, the main reason for this post is to show off some pictures of the ring!  We had it made by a jeweler we found at the Carolina Renaissance Festival who did a marvelous job.  It’s exactly what we wanted and I can’t wait to see how my wedding band will turn out.
