About
I am a technologically inclined Pagan Unitarian Universalist.
For my day job, I manage the computers for the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University. An unabashed Linux enthusiast (some say bigot), I enjoy maximizing the usability of Linux in our department and Duke has a large Linux-using population.
In the UU sphere, I am the Secretary of my church, the UU Congregation of Hillsborough, and active in Celebrate The Circle, the CUUPS chapter at UUCH. I also provide technical services to the congregation by hosting their website on a server and providing other services as needed.
I’ve attended 5 of the last 8 UUA General Assemblies as a member of the UUA General Assembly web reporting team. I’m one of their videographers and work with the streaming media team as well as providing general geek support to the web reporters and UUA staff.
I also enjoy playing almost any kind of game: cards, board games, role-playing, computer games, etc. and am an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy with a smattering of technical and other non-fiction thrown in.
